What's the return policy for the bands?
Resistance bands are not eligible for returns or refunds.
Disclaimer: Always warm up your bands before using the RipStick. Lightly stretch them out in all directions to slightly loosen and warm them up.
Bands that are not used for a few days may be snapped upon maximal pull if not properly warmed up.
Bands that are stored incorrectly may dry out, crack, degrade, and will snap while using the RipStick upon being pulled. Store RipStick and bands in a cool, dry place, preferably out of light.
How do I make my bands last as long as possible?
Using the bands if they are too cold (ex. outside in winter) will cause them to become brittle and prone to snapping. Using bands that are too hot (ex. in a sauna or 100 degree plus weather) will stretch them out and can significantly loosen their tension, especially when they are pulled to the limit.
To make your bands last as long as possible, try to only tension the bands 90% when using the RipStick. There is a point of diminishing returns where the extra bit of resistance you are gaining from that last little bit of pull is not worth the strain and stretch it puts on the bands overtime. The bands will loose their resistance and strength very quickly if you pull on them excessively, and you will fly through bands like nobodies business.
If you are trying to wait until you are moderately or heavily fatigued before you pull 100% and try to 'bust the bands' off the pipes. This method is guaranteed to push your muscles to contractile failure within a minute when you truly push yourself.
The point of the RipStick is being able to hold the pipes exactly even and steady at that 90% pull range and maintain proper core and rotator cuff engagement while going through the numerous dynamic movements.
Be careful to not get any microtears or cuts on the bands. Even a hairline tear can cause the bands to snap off the RipStick when pulled.
Who is the RipStick for?
The RipStick can benefit virtually everyone in some way. No matter if you're a young athlete, a beginner lifter, a elderly person rehabbing a rotator cuff injury, or even an Olympic level athlete, the RipStick has something to offer you.
For a young athlete, the RipStick could be the difference between being able to hold your own and maintain positions through isometric strength and stability development. The RipStick develops and trains key stabilizer muscles, as well as promotes fluiditdy and mobility in the fascia.
The isometric tension when combined with the dynamic movements done with the RipStick trains your entire system to work as one fluid unit whilst still maintaining a steady base and tense core (when done correctly).
For a higher level athlete, it can be used as a warm-up tool pre-training, as a supplement to your lifting sessions, as a potential injury preventative, or as an active recovery tool.
